A major medical campus required restoration of its elevated pedestrian walkways after years of exposure to heavy foot traffic, moisture, weather, and daily environmental conditions caused surface deterioration and reduced the effectiveness of the existing protective system. The project focused on restoring the concrete walking surfaces and installing a durable deck coating system designed to provide long-term protection while maintaining safe access between campus buildings.
Our team prepared the concrete surfaces through thorough cleaning, surface preparation, and removal of compromised coating materials before applying a multi-layer protective deck coating system. The completed restoration provided improved waterproofing, enhanced pedestrian safety, and greater resistance to abrasion and weather exposure while helping extend the service life of the elevated concrete walkways with minimal disruption to campus operations.
