A regional distribution warehouse underwent a major expansion that introduced heavier storage systems, automated material handling equipment, and increased floor loading requirements. A structural evaluation determined that several reinforced concrete beams and support columns required additional strengthening to safely accommodate the new operational demands without extensive demolition or structural replacement.
OKC Concrete Restoration & Repair installed a Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) strengthening system consisting of high-strength carbon fiber fabrics and laminate strips bonded with structural epoxy adhesives. The retrofit significantly increased the structural capacity of the building while allowing warehouse operations to continue with minimal downtime.
